De Mattheis Investments is seeking the growth of its portfolio through the acquisition of existing income producing shopping centers and apartment complexes throughout the United States, as well as development and redevelopment opportunities of both types of property in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and New York.
Our investment criteria for new acquisitions are as follows:
- Commercial Real Estate: Existing retail properties ranging in size from 20,000 sq.ft. to 150,000 sq.ft., as well as existing apartment complexes ranging in size from 25 units to 150 units in well located stabilized markets, or strong growth markets.
- Vacant Land: Land for the development and construction of retail shopping centers and apartment complexes, as well as sites that can accommodate a combination of both retail and residential, within the above size parameters, in quality well-established or strong growth markets;
- Redevelopment or Repositioning of Commercial Real Estate: Well located commercial properties, within the above parameters, in need of redevelopment or market repositioning, offering value-added opportunities.
Our objective is to acquire the strongest locations with significant market barriers to entry, which in turn create the highest rental demand and will be the least likely to be affected in the event of an economic downturn. Location does not just take into consideration strong demographics, but includes excellent visibility and access to each site.
